The birth of a child changes everything. Rhythms, spaces, and habits change. The home fills with new gestures: a little hand holding a finger, a nap on mom’s chest, dad’s first glance, a feeding, a hug on the couch. These are simple moments. And precisely for this reason, they are often the ones you’ll want to remember most one day.
I’m Luca Marchetti, a family and newborn photographer in Terni and Umbria, and I capture these first days through natural, intimate, and authentic photographs. Without complicated poses. Without creating a family different from the one you are. Just you, your baby, and your story.
A photograph that does not need to be constructed
I don’t believe in perfection when I photograph a family. I believe in presence. I won’t ask you to turn your home into a photography studio, nor to learn poses, smiles, or predetermined gestures. I prefer to wait. Watch. Let something happen.
A child falling asleep in his mother’s arms, a father picking up his son, an older brother observing him with a curiosity he can’t yet explain. That’s where the photography I seek is born. Not in the pose. In the moment.
AT HOME
The most important place is already where you are.
The newborn service can take place at your home, in Terni or in Umbria. Not because it’s easier. Because that’s where your story is really happening: Your room, the sofa, the light you know every day, the crib you prepared months before, the objects that will remain when he grows up. The house is not a backdrop.
It’s part of memory. And one day, looking back at these photographs, you will recognize not only your child, but also the world in which you began to be a family.
